So I’ve been trying to switch servers at work and let’s just say it’s been a freakin’ nightmare.
Our servers are dated and to start off fresh, I suggested we setup new ones and move the app over. Simple right? Joke #1 of the year.
We have like 9 boxes that talk to each other. My issues have been mostly due to 1 thing and one thing along: HARDCODED IP’S AND URLS.
I cannot stress this enough: DO NOT HARDCODE. There are sooooo many ways to avoid it. Both in Vue and in PHP. Environment files and enums people!!!!!
Seriously want a bumper sticker: Save an Engineer and don’t hardcode!!!
