House, marriage, doggos

This is a very scatter brain post. It’s kind of everywhere. Just a warning.

So lots of things has changed since I last gave an update.

1.) We bought our first house and moved in last June.
2.) We are engaged.
3.) Roxie and Kai are still the same goofy dogs. Kai is now taller than Roxie though.

Work also moved into the valley. Friends and some co-workers have moved on with other jobs. Some are out of the city. So many things have changed that I can’t seem to catch a breath sometimes.

There are some things that haven’t changed. Roxie still loves her walks and Kai is still crazy and mouthy as ever. Boyfriend–now fiance– is still at his job as a prison officer. I’ve switched teams at work. I’m still learning a lot and yet, I feel like I’ve gone nowhere.

I am enjoying exploring the new area as a runner though. Oh! I’ve also been able to get on my bike more than I have in the past several years.

I’m not much of a person who enjoys change. I never have been. You think I’d get used to saying good-bye to friends at work but even now, it’s hard. A good friend of mine moved across the state recently. I miss her a lot. She was kind of my partner in crime.

Running has been up and down for me. These days, it’s all about running and hoping to not get injured than completing distance. I did complete another half back in end of May. It wasn’t a PR but it wasn’t far off.

Our wedding countdown is getting down there. We are under 70 days now and it’s a little scary. Hopefully we’ll get everything squared away. Eeks!

That’s all I got for now.
